Hill's Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome Mini Dry Dog Food with Chicken is a highly digestible complete dietetic feed for small adult dogs, formulated for the reduction of intestinal absorptive disorders and for compensation for maldigestion. This fibre-enhanced formula features ActivBiome+ Ingredient Technology, a proprietary blend of prebiotic fibres developed to support the activation of the gut microbiome and promote healthy stool. With a protein content of 21.4%, fat content of 13.2%, and crude fibre of 6.9%, the diet includes increased levels of sodium and potassium plus highly digestible ingredients including chicken (9%) and turkey meal, brewers' rice, and maize. The small kibble size is designed for dogs under 14kg. Also formulated to promote a urinary environment that reduces the risk of developing struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

Suitable For:

• Small adult dogs (under 14kg) with fibre responsive enteropathies (large bowel diarrhoea)
• Small adult dogs with constipation
• Forms of chronic enteropathy (inflammatory bowel disease): antibiotic responsive, steroid responsive, food responsive, and infectious diarrhoea
• Colitis (acute or chronic) and stress colitis in dogs under 14kg
• Histiocytic ulcerative colitis
• Gastrointestinal neoplasia
• Flatulence
• Insulinoma

Not Suitable For:

• Growing puppies
• Pregnant or nursing dogs
• Dogs with chronic kidney disease

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2 or more meals per day. Small, frequent meals are often appropriate for gastrointestinal conditions — split into 3-6 small portions throughout the day Transition: Introduce gradually over 7 days or more, mixing increasing amounts of new food with decreasing amounts of old food Water: Ensure fresh water is always available at all times Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal bag after opening. Exclusively feed the recommended Specialist Diet dry and wet foods and treats. Recommended time of use: initially up to 12 weeks.
