PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Hill's Prescription Diet l/d Liver Care dry dog food is a specialist dietetic feed formulated to support liver health and help protect vital liver function. Contains controlled levels of highly digestible protein to help reduce the workload on the liver. Features increased zinc and Vitamin K to help reduce deficiencies which may occur during liver disease. Added potassium helps avoid deficiencies which can occur during liver conditions. Contains added L-carnitine to help prevent build-up of fat in the liver. The S+OXSHIELD formula is developed to promote a urinary environment that reduces the risk of developing struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

INGREDIENTS
Composition: Cereals (maize), oils and fats (animal fat), vegetable protein extracts (soybean meal, maize gluten meal), eggs and egg derivatives (dried whole eggs), seeds (flaxseed), minerals, meat and animal derivatives, derivatives of vegetable origin (cellulose, dried beet pulp). Protein sources: Soybean meal, dried whole eggs, maize gluten meal. With a natural antioxidant (mixed tocopherols).
Nutritional Additives (per kg): Vitamin A: 27,814 IU/kg, Vitamin D3: 715 IU/kg, Vitamin E: 550 mg/kg, Vitamin C: 90 mg/kg, Beta-carotene: 1.5 mg/kg, Total copper: 2.9 mg/kg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.

SUITABILITY
Suitable For:
• Adult dogs and mature adult dogs with liver disorders
• Dogs with hepatic encephalopathy
• Dogs with portosystemic shunt
• Dogs with copper storage disease
• Puppies over 6 months old with liver conditions
Not Suitable For:
• Puppies under 6 months of age
• Pregnant or lactating bitches
• Dogs with hyperlipidaemia or pancreatitis
• Dogs with a history of or at risk of pancreatitis
