Hill's Prescription Diet Metabolic is a complete dietetic dry food for adult dogs, formulated for the reduction of excessive body weight and maintenance of healthy weight with a low energy density of 3,115 kcal/kg. This specialist diet features a high protein content (25.4%) to support the maintenance of muscle mass during weight loss, combined with high crude fibre (13%) from a unique blend of ingredients to help dogs feel satisfied between meals. The formula contains chicken (8%) and includes a synergistic blend of nutrients developed to support dogs' natural ability to use energy efficiently. Enriched with vitamin E (1,050 mg/kg), vitamin C (122 mg/kg), and beta-carotene (2.0 mg/kg) for antioxidant support. S+OXSHIELD technology supports a urinary environment that reduces the risk of developing struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
