Specialist dietetic dry dog food formulated with reduced protein and controlled minerals to help reduce the formation of urate, calcium oxalate, and cystine uroliths in adult dogs.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Hill's Prescription Diet u/d Urinary Care is a complete dietetic dry food formulated to help reduce the formation of urate, calcium oxalate, and cystine uroliths in adult dogs. The formula features controlled levels of high-quality, highly digestible protein (10.2%) from dried whole eggs with restricted phosphorus (0.16%) and low sodium (0.22%) to also support dogs with advanced chronic kidney disease. With a fat content of 18.8% for adapted energy density, the diet contains urine alkalising substances including potassium citrate (8.5 g/kg) and calcium carbonate (7.4 g/kg) to promote a desirable alkaline urine pH that discourages the formation of urate, calcium oxalate, and cystine crystals. Enriched with Vitamin E (555 mg/kg), beta-carotene (1.5 mg/kg), and L-carnitine (347 mg/kg) to support antioxidant defences and fat metabolism. Made with brewers' rice, maize starch, and dried whole eggs as primary ingredients.
