Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Mini is a complete dietetic dry food for small breed adult dogs, formulated for the reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerances using a single hydrolysed protein source and a selected carbohydrate source. The formula contains chicken liver hydrolysate (26%) as the sole protein source and maize starch as the single carbohydrate source, minimising the risk of adverse food reactions. Incorporates ActivBiome+ prebiotic fibre blend — including dried beet pulp, flaxseed, ground pecan shell, dried citrus pulp, and dried cranberries — developed to support digestive health and stool quality. The extra-small kibble size is specifically adapted for small breed dogs. S+OXSHIELD technology supports a urinary environment that reduces the risk of developing struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

• Small breed adult dogs with adverse food reactions (food allergies and/or intolerances)
• Small breed dogs with dermatological signs of food intolerance (skin irritation, coat and ear conditions)
• Small breed dogs with gastrointestinal signs of food intolerance
• Food elimination trials for small breed dogs

Not Suitable For:

• Puppies (growing dogs)
• Pregnant or nursing dogs
• Large breed dogs (use standard Hill's z/d instead)

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2 or more meals per day. Adjust amount to maintain optimum weight. Transition: Introduce gradually over 7 days. Feed exclusively — no other foods, treats, or supplements unless approved by veterinarian. Recommended use: 3–8 weeks; if signs disappear, this feed can be used initially up to one year.
