PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Complete dietetic pet food for adult and senior dogs, formulated for the support of renal function in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and for the reduction of calcium oxalate, urate and cystine stone formation. Contains restricted but high-quality proteins to support the minimisation of muscle loss and uraemic toxin formation. Low phosphorus levels are designed to support the slowing of chronic kidney disease progression. Enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA at 0.22%) to support the minimisation of glomerular hypertension and natural anti-inflammatory processes. This non-acidifying diet supports the minimisation of metabolic acidosis associated with renal insufficiency.

INGREDIENTS

Composition: Maize*, rice*, dried egg*, dried whey*, pork fat, sugar, digest*, dried beet pulp*, minerals, soya oil, fish oil. *Protein sources. Urine alkalising substance: calcium carbonate.

Nutritional Additives (per kg): Vitamin A: 31000 IU/kg, Vitamin D3: 1000 IU/kg, Vitamin E: 350 IU/kg, Ferrous sulphate monohydrate: 200 mg, Calcium iodate anhydrous: 3.1 mg, Cupric sulphate pentahydrate: 21 mg, Manganous sulphate monohydrate: 74 mg, Zinc sulphate monohydrate: 185 mg, Sodium selenite: 0.22 mg.

SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

• Adult and senior dogs with chronic kidney disease (IRIS Stage 2 onwards)

• Dogs requiring support for reduction of calcium oxalate stone formation

• Dogs requiring support for reduction of urate and cystine stone formation

Not Suitable For:

• Puppies and growing dogs

• Pregnant or nursing bitches

• Dogs requiring high levels of protein or phosphorus

• Dogs without veterinary diagnosis of renal insufficiency

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2-3 meals

Transition: Dogs with chronic kidney disease from IRIS Stage 2 onwards should be fed this diet for life. Seek veterinary advice before use or extending the period of use.

Water: Fresh, clean drinking water should always be available

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal after opening.
