PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Complete dietetic feed formulated for the regulation of glucose supply (diabetes mellitus) in adult dogs. Contains a high level of protein (37%) and a reduced level of starch (19.1%) with low total sugars (0.55%) to support post-prandial blood glucose management through glucomodulation. Features cereals with a low glycaemic index in conjunction with psyllium mucilage to help reduce postprandial hyperglycaemia. The high protein content supports the maintenance of muscle mass and a healthy body weight, while the moderate calorie content helps minimise insulin resistance associated with being overweight. Also contains a synergistic complex of antioxidants to help neutralise free radicals associated with oxidative stress from diabetes mellitus.

Adult dogs with Diabetes Mellitus and a Body Condition Score of 6 out of 9 or below

Adult dogs with Diabetes Mellitus and a Body Condition Score of 7-9, until glycaemic control has been achieved

Dogs requiring glucomodulation support as part of insulin therapy

Not Suitable For:

Puppies (growth phase)

Pregnant or nursing dogs (gestation/lactation)

Dogs with pancreatitis

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2-4 equal meals. Consistent timing and portion size at each meal is essential for effective diabetes management. Transition: Introduce gradually over 7-10 days. Note: this food may affect the dog's sensitivity to insulin. It is highly recommended that blood glucose and insulin response are monitored when starting or changing the diet so that insulin dosage can be adapted.
