Royal Canin Gastrointestinal is a complete dietetic dry food for adult dogs, formulated to help reduce acute intestinal absorptive disorders and promote nutritional restoration and convalescence. This specialist diet contains 67.4% highly digestible protein sources and 12.3% highly digestible fat sources, providing a high energy density that reduces meal volume and decreases intestinal load. The formula includes prebiotics (fructo-oligosaccharides and manno-oligosaccharides) to support the growth and balance of beneficial gut bacteria, plus psyllium husks and seeds to help regulate intestinal transit. Enriched with EPA/DHA (0.41%), omega-3 fatty acids (0.88%), and elevated levels of electrolytes to support recovery and overall digestive health.

SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

• Adult dogs with acute and chronic diarrhoea (including weaning diarrhoea)
• Dogs with gastritis, colitis, or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Dogs with maldigestion or malabsorption
• Dogs with dysorexia or requiring re-feeding after surgery
• Dogs with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI)
• Dogs with acute hepatopathy

Not Suitable For:

• Dogs with pancreatitis or history of pancreatitis (use Gastrointestinal Low Fat instead)
• Dogs with hyperlipidaemia (use Gastrointestinal Low Fat instead)
• Dogs with lymphangiectasia or exudative enteropathy (use Gastrointestinal Low Fat instead)
• Puppies requiring growth-specific nutrition (use Gastrointestinal Puppy instead)

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into several small meals to optimise digestion Transition: Introduce gradually over 7–10 days. Feed for 1–2 weeks during periods of and recovery from acute diarrhoea until restoration is achieved. Water: Ensure fresh water is always available Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
