Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Moderate Calorie is a complete dietetic dry food for adult dogs, formulated for the reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerances using hydrolysed protein sources and selected carbohydrate sources. This specialist diet contains hydrolysed soya protein isolate (19.3%) and hydrolysed poultry liver (5%) with low molecular weight for very low allergenicity, combined with rice flour (45%) and rice (8.6%) as selected carbohydrate sources. The formula has a moderate calorie content with a decreased fat level (12%) compared to the standard Hypoallergenic (19%), making it suitable for dogs that are overweight, neutered, inactive, or mature. A moderate phosphorus intake (0.6%) supports healthy kidney function, while borage oil and fish oil help support the skin's natural protective barrier. Enriched with fructo-oligosaccharides for digestive health and zinc (160 mg/kg) for skin support.

SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

• Adult dogs with adverse food reactions (food allergies and/or intolerances)
• Dogs with dermatological and/or gastrointestinal signs of a food intolerance
• Food elimination trials
• Overweight, neutered, inactive, or mature dogs requiring a hypoallergenic diet with fewer calories

Not Suitable For:

• Puppies (growth phase)
• Pregnant or nursing dogs (gestation/lactation)
• Dogs with pancreatitis
• Dogs requiring a standard-calorie hypoallergenic diet (use Royal Canin Hypoallergenic standard instead)

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2 meals Transition: Introduce gradually over 7–10 days. Feed for 3–8 weeks; if signs of intolerance disappear, this feed can be used initially up to one year and indefinitely if required.
