PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Royal Canin Medium Starter Mother & Babydog is specifically formulated for medium breed dogs (11-25kg adult weight) – for mothers during the end of gestation and throughout lactation, and for puppies during weaning up to 2 months old. The formula contains 30% protein and 22% fat to meet the high energy demands of nursing mothers and growing puppies. It features exclusive Start Complex with antibodies and nutrients to support the development of the puppy's immune system. DHA (0.20%) from algal oil supports brain development and cognitive function. The kibble can be easily rehydrated to a soft texture for weaning puppies. Highly digestible L.I.P. proteins combined with prebiotics (FOS and MOS) support digestive health.

Composition: Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, animal fats, wheat gluten*, maize, beet pulp, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals, soya oil, fish oil, fructo-oligo-saccharides, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides and betaglucans) (0.30%), algal oil Schizochytrium sp. (source of DHA), butyric acid salt, marigold meal. *L.I.P.: protein selected for its very high digestibility.

Nutritional Additives (per kg): Vitamin A: 19,000 IU, Vitamin D3: 1,200 IU; Iron: 40 mg, Iodine: 4 mg, Copper: 12 mg, Manganese: 52 mg, Zinc: 133 mg, Selenium: 0.07 mg.

 SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

Medium breed mothers (11-25kg) during late gestation and lactation

Medium breed puppies during weaning from 3-8 weeks

Puppies requiring immune system support with Start Complex

Puppies needing DHA for brain development

Not Suitable For:

Puppies over 2 months (transition to Junior food)

Non-pregnant/non-nursing adult dogs

Small, large, or giant breed dogs

Dogs with poultry or wheat allergies

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Puppies: 4-6 small meals per day; Mothers: 3-4 meals or free feeding during lactation

Transition: Introduce to mothers 1 week before expected birth; rehydrate kibble for weaning puppies

Water: Fresh water must be available at all times, especially for nursing mothers

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal bag after opening.
