PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Complete dietetic feed formulated for adult dogs requiring nutritional support for the regulation of glucose supply in diabetes mellitus. Features cereals with a low glycaemic index combined with selected fibres including psyllium husks and seeds to support the management of postprandial blood glucose levels. High protein content (37%) supports the maintenance of lean muscle mass and helps reduce net energy supply, while the reduced starch level (19.1%) with low mono- and disaccharides (total sugars 0.55%) supports balanced blood glucose responses after meals. Contains L.I.P. proteins selected for very high digestibility, along with fructo-oligosaccharides to support healthy digestion. Suitable for dogs with diabetes mellitus with a Body Condition Score of 6 out of 9 or below, and for diabetic dogs with a Body Condition Score of 7 out of 9 or higher until glycaemic control has been achieved.

INGREDIENTS

Composition: Dehydrated poultry protein, barley, hydrolysed animal proteins, wheat gluten*, maize gluten, vegetable fibres, animal fats, beet pulp, manioc (tapioca), fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, minerals, marigold meal. Carbohydrate sources: barley (20.5%), manioc (tapioca) (5%).

Suitable For:

• Adult dogs with diabetes mellitus with a Body Condition Score of 6/9 or below
• Adult dogs with diabetes mellitus with a Body Condition Score of 7/9 or higher, until glycaemic control has been achieved
• Dogs requiring a low glycaemic index diet with reduced starch

Not Suitable For:

• Puppies (growth phase)
• Pregnant or nursing dogs (gestation/lactation)
• Dogs with known allergies or sensitivities to any listed ingredients
• Dogs without veterinary recommendation for a diabetic diet

SERVING RECOMMENDATION
