PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Renal Special is a complete dietetic feed formulated to support dogs with chronic renal insufficiency. This specialist formula contains 13% protein from carefully selected high-quality sources (dehydrated poultry protein 6%, hydrolysed poultry proteins 4.7%, wheat gluten 2.5%) and 16% fat. The recipe features low phosphorus (0.3%) and adapted sodium (0.35%) to support renal function, with an increased energy density to reduce meal volume. Contains EPA/DHA (0.47%) and a specific aromatic profile developed to stimulate appetite in dogs with reduced food intake. Veterinary recommendation required.
INGREDIENTS
Composition: Rice, maize flour, animal fats, maize, dehydrated poultry protein, hydrolysed poultry proteins, beet pulp, wheat gluten*, minerals, fish oil, vegetable fibres, soya oil, sodium butyrate, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono- and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, marigold meal. Protein sources: dehydrated poultry protein (6%), hydrolysed poultry proteins (4.7%), wheat gluten (2.5%). *L.I.P.: protein selected for very high digestibility.
Nutritional Additives (per kg): Vitamin A: 15,500 IU, Vitamin D3: 1,000 IU, Iron: 40 mg, Iodine: 4 mg, Copper: 12 mg, Manganese: 52 mg, Zinc: 152 mg, Selenium: 0.05 mg. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite: 5 g.

SUITABILITY
Suitable For:
• Dogs with azotaemic chronic kidney disease (IRIS stage 2-4)
• Dogs with chronic kidney disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1-4)
• Dogs requiring restricted phosphorus and protein intake
Not Suitable For:
• Puppies (growth phase)
• Pregnant or nursing dogs (gestation/lactation)
• Dogs with pancreatitis
