PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Royal Canin Urinary S/O Dry Cat Food is a complete dietetic feed for adult cats, formulated for the dissolution of struvite stones and the reduction of struvite stone recurrence, with urine undersaturating or metastabilising properties for struvite. The formula supports urine dilution to make urine less liable to form struvite and calcium oxalate stones. Developed using Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology, this food helps lower the concentration of ions contributing to crystal formation. Contains L.I.P. proteins selected for very high digestibility, with a reduced level of magnesium (0.05%), a natural component of struvite crystals. With a protein content of 34.5% and fat content of 15%, this diet provides complete and balanced nutrition for adult cats with lower urinary tract disease.

SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

• Adult cats with struvite uroliths (dissolution and management of recurrence)
• Adult cats with calcium oxalate uroliths (management of recurrence)
• Adult cats with Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC)

Not Suitable For:

• Cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Cats with heart disease (when sodium restriction is sought)
• Cats with concurrent use of urine-acidifying medication
• Kittens (growth phase)
• Pregnant or nursing cats (gestation/lactation)

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2 or more meals per day Transition: Introduce gradually over 7-10 days Water: Water should be available at all times — increased water intake supports urine dilution Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal bag after opening. Feed for 5 to 12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and initially up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. A veterinarian's advice should be sought before use and before extending the period of use. In older cats, renal function should be checked before use.
