PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Complete dietetic feed formulated for adult small breed dogs (up to 10 kg) requiring nutritional support for the dissolution of struvite uroliths and the management of recurrence of both struvite and calcium oxalate uroliths. Features urine undersaturating and metastabilising properties for struvite, combined with urine acidifying properties. Protein content (20%) supports overall nutrition while controlled levels of magnesium (0.05%), calcium (0.72%) and phosphorus (0.7%) support a urinary environment unfavourable to crystal formation. Developed using Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology to support lower ion concentration in urine, minimising the likelihood of stone formation. Includes pentasodium triphosphate (0.35%) to support dental health by helping to trap calcium in saliva and reduce tartar build-up. Contains L.I.P. proteins selected for very high digestibility and fructo-oligosaccharides to support healthy digestion.

INGREDIENTS

Composition: Rice, maize flour, dehydrated poultry proteins, animal fats, maize gluten, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals (including pentasodium triphosphate (0.35%)), vegetable fibres, egg powder, wheat gluten*, soya oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, marigold meal.

• Adult small breed dogs with bacterial cystitis (management of secondary struvite crystalluria, in association with adequate antibiotherapy)

Not Suitable For:

• Dogs with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Dogs with heart disease (when sodium restriction is sought)
• Dogs receiving concurrent urine-acidifying medication
• Puppies (growth phase)
• Pregnant or nursing dogs (gestation/lactation)
