Complete dietetic wet dog food in loaf formulated to support liver function in the case of chronic liver insufficiency and for the reduction of copper in the liver.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Royal Canin Veterinary Hepatic Loaf is a complete dietetic wet food formulated to support liver function in adult dogs with chronic liver insufficiency and to help reduce copper accumulation in the liver. The formula features adapted levels of high-quality proteins from poultry by-products with highly digestible carbohydrates including rice and maize flour. With a protein content of 6.5% and fat content of 4.0%, the low copper formulation (total copper 1.7 mg/kg) helps to minimise copper accumulation in liver cells. The high energy content helps to reduce meal volume and decrease intestinal load while providing complete and balanced nutrition. Enriched with essential fatty acids (linoleic acid 1.3%), fructo-oligosaccharides for digestive support, and marigold extract as a source of lutein.

As a general guide, a 4kg dog requires approximately 1 can per day or less if fed in combination with dry food. It is recommended to divide the daily intake into several small meals to reduce the postprandial hepatic load.
