Royal Canin Urinary S/O Ageing 7+ is a complete dietetic dry feed for ageing dogs, formulated for the dissolution of struvite stones and the reduction of struvite stone recurrence, with urine undersaturating or metastabilising properties for struvite and urine acidifying properties. Specially tailored for dogs aged 7 years and over, this formula contains an exclusive blend of nutrients and antioxidants to support vitality and cognitive function during the senior life stage. With a protein content of 20% from high-quality L.I.P. proteins selected for very high digestibility, the diet helps maintain kidney health while the low magnesium level (0.09%) supports a urinary environment unfavourable to crystal formation. Developed using Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology, the formula includes glucosamine and chondroitin for joint support, EPA/DHA (0.41%) for anti-inflammatory benefits, and lycopene from dried tomato pulp as a natural antioxidant. Available in 1.5kg, 3.5kg and 8kg bags.

SUITABILITY

Suitable For:

• Ageing dogs (7 years and over) with struvite uroliths — dissolution and management of recurrence
• Ageing dogs with calcium oxalate uroliths — management of recurrence
• Senior dogs requiring urinary health support with age-related nutritional adaptation

Not Suitable For:

• Dogs with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Dogs with heart disease (when sodium restriction is sought)
• Dogs receiving concurrent urine-acidifying medication
• Growing puppies (growth phase)
• Pregnant or nursing dogs (gestation/lactation)

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Frequency: Divide daily amount into 2-4 equal meals per day Transition: Introduce gradually over 7-10 days Water: Ensure fresh water is always available at all times — increased water intake supports urine dilution and is critical for urinary health Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal bag after opening. Feed for 5 to 12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and initially up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. It is recommended that a veterinarian's advice be sought before use and before extending the period of use.
