Vetmedin 5mg Hard Capsules for Dogs

Vetmedin contains pimobendan and is the only licensed medication proven to treat asymptomatic heart disease in dogs.

Indications:

Treatment of canine congestive heart failure caused by dilated cardiomyopathy or valvular insufficiency (mitral and/or tricuspid valve regurgitation).

Management of preclinical dilated cardiomyopathy in Doberman Pinschers (asymptomatic with enlarged left ventricular dimensions diagnosed via echocardiography).

Treatment of preclinical myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) in dogs (asymptomatic with a systolic murmur and enlarged heart) to delay progression to clinical heart failure.

Important Information:

Please order the exact form and strength (tablet or capsule) as prescribed. Capsules must not be split for half dosing.

Vetmedin is only for use in dogs with cardiac insufficiency.

Do not use in dogs with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or where increasing cardiac output is not possible due to structural or functional limitations.
